If you are a client in need of specific work, please think about the type of session that may best suit your needs.

For example, if you have extreme tension in the neck and shoulders, you may want to consider either a 75 or 90-minute session to allow sufficient time on those areas. Another option is to schedule a 60-minute session that focuses on the upper body. If you are a runner who needs to focus on your IT bands, quads, hamstrings, calves and lower body, ask for a customized session.

I want to ensure you get the most out of your massage and provide a realistic expectation of what can be accomplished in an hour. An hour for a full-body massage is more of an all-over tune-up and it is difficult to target or perform specific work on the entire body in that time. Please feel free to call or email me with questions to figure out what type of session is right for you.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don’t get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.

Swedish Massage

Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.

Medical Massage Therapy

A result-oriented treatment that is specifically directed to resolve certain conditions. It is systematic therapeutic manipulation through applying fixed or movable pressure, friction, rubbing, stroking, pinching, tapping, kneading, or applying vibration to muscle and connective tissue. Sometimes performed on the whole body or just a targeted area.

Cranial Sacral Therapy

A gentle meditative form of bodywork focussing on the bones of the head, spinal column, sacrum and underlying tissues.  The main objective in this work is to find physical or metaphysical restrictions in these areas, and use awareness and specifically designed techniques to release them.  This modality is useful in addressing but not limited to low back pain, headaches, TMJD, stress-related dysfunctions, emotional stress or trauma, arthritis, colic, inner ear issues, etc.

Cupping Therapy

This therapy employs negative pressure, rather that tissue compression.  This therapy releases rigid soft tissue, drains excess fluids and toxins, loosens adhesions, lifts connective tissue, and brings blood flow to stagnant skin and muscles.

Facial Cupping

Face cupping is inexpensive, non-invasive, and serves as a safe alternative to surgery or chemical treatments. Facial cupping uses small, specially designed suction cups to lift and massage facial tissue. It is actually not a new therapy, women in Asia, Russia and Europe have been using negative pressure facial cupping for rejuvenation and maintenance for generations. Facial cupping increases oxygen-rich blood circulation, strengthen skin & connective tissues and stimulates fibroblast cells responsible for collagen and elasticity production. Results include visibly reducing fine lines and deeper wrinkles, tone chin, jawline, neck & decolletage, reduce scars, excess oil & pore size, and relaxes facial muscle tension & tightness.

Lymphatic Drainage

Lymphatic Drainage Therapy aims to gently and rhythmically move the lymph through the body, especially swollen areas of the body, relieving pressure and enhancing the functioning of the immune system. As both a preventative and remedial technique, LD can be used for a wide range of purposes including faster recovery from injury, reduction of swelling and discomfort from pregnancy, and strengthened resistance to illness.

Myofascial Release

Myofascial Release is a very effective deep tissue, hands-on technique that works to address pain or discomfort coming from muscles and connective tissue.  Myofascial therapy is used to 'release' and rebalance the muscle and connective soft tissue system.

Reflexology

Based on a system of different zones and reflex areas on your feet and hands that correspond to different organs and zones of the body. Applying pressure to the feet or hands with specific thumb, finger, and hand techniques to improve one’s health, improve circulation, and relieve tension.

Reiki

Reiki is a healing technique based on the principle that the therapist can channel energy into the patient by means of touch, to activate the natural healing processes of the patient's body and restore physical and emotional well-being.

Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese form of energy work that cleanses and balances the energy system in the body. As a result, the body’s natural self-healing mechanisms strengthen, helping to establish optimum health. During a session, I work directly with your energy field to remove blockages, detoxify your system, and restore your vital life force energy. Reiki utilizes a gentle laying on of hands to conduct the necessary energy force between us. The benefits of Reiki range from the release of habitual mental/emotional stress to alleviating chronic pain.

Energy Work

Energy work is based on the belief that everyone has a “life force”, and that the body needs to sustain its balance for optimum health. Anytime you experience emotional or physical illness, it indicates that your life force has simply become unbalanced. I work directly with your energy field to restore balance and flow to your entire system. And once your energy field has been restored to full health, your body will follow.

Working with Breath...

When working with clients, I focus on breathing. Deep inspiration and respiration facilitates lymphatic flow. The oxygen also encourages muscle relaxation as well as mental relaxation. One note is that deep breathing makes the session more non-verbally interactive. My clients and I typically notice a difference in the results of a massage when deep breathing occurs.

Personalize your session...

I typically use a combinations of Shea Butter and Biotone Pure Touch Massage Creme that is hypoallergenic, Paraben-Free, Organic, and environmentally-friendly.

You can bring your own emollient or choose from grapeseed, almond oil or coconut oil.

New Boiance Face Cradle! This is one of the most comfortable face cradle pillows. The combination of padding and water spheres combine to deliver comfort and relaxation. This pillow also features a unique, very open space to avoid all pressure on the eyes and sinus cavities.

Have a music preference?

Feel free to request a specific genre, artist, or album to listen to during your session. Whatever helps you unwind and unplug completely!
